On March 19, Anush Ghukasyan's "Nersudurs" exhibition was opened in the "Sasuntsi David" garden hall of the Cafesjian Art Center (GAC).

This exhibition represents the continuation of the common thread of the young artist's artistic activity, which he has developed for more than five years. Some of his creations are delicate works of delicate craftsmanship, while others are left more raw, raw.

"Nersudurs is in the middle of the two, just as the world experienced an in-between period during the pandemic." Ghukasyan took possession of the elusive, soft, free, peaceful and silent clouds and connected them to the clay, rusty pipes erected above the ground. The artist combines two opposite and different scale elements: the subterranean earth and the ethereal air. It questions the changeability and fluidity of borders," says exhibition curator Nayiri Khachaturian.

"Imbued with the unlimited choice of means of expression in the realm of contemporary art, as well as his bright creative imagination, Anush Ghukasyan invites us to an environment where material and immaterial worlds intersect. Atzelu people will have the opportunity to discover the edges of the intersection of the temporary and the eternal, the limited and the infinite, the earthly and the heavenly, and to think about the different realities synthesized in themselves," says Vahagn Marabyan, acting executive director of the Cafesjian Art Center.

Anush Ghukasyan's "Inside Out" exhibition opened in Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts on March 19, featuring the latest installation project by the artist.

This exhibition follows the common thread of the artistic practice that the young artist has developed for more than five years. Some of her installations are delicate pieces created carefully from refined craftsmanship, while others are rawer and unedited.

"'Inside Out' sits in between, just as the world experienced an in-between period during the pandemic. Ghukasyan grabs the elusive, soft, free, peaceful and silent clouds, and integrates them into rough rust-colored sewer pipes erected above the ground. The artist combines two opposing elements and of different scales - the element of underground earth, and the element of celestial air. As such, the installation questions the mutability and versatility of borders," states Nairi Khatchadourian, the exhibition curator.

"Anush Ghukasyan, with unlimited choice of media in contemporary art, as well as her vivid, creative imagination, invites us into an environment where the material and non-material worlds intersect. The visitors will have the opportunity to discover the interlocking of the temporary and eternal, the limited and infinite, the earthly and celestial, by contemplating the different realities synthesized within themselves," states Vahagn Marabyan, Acting Executive Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.

The exhibition will be open until June 13.
